Flowers and fruit: Mature plants produce small, fragrant, greenish-white flowers in the spring, followed by orange berries. However, these flowers and fruit rarely appear on indoor plants. 
Lifespan: With proper care, this plant can last for many years. 
Family: This plant is a member of the Asparagaceae family, which also includes agave, tuberose, yucca, pony tail, and dracaena. 
In 2017, the plant was reclassified from Sansevieria trifasciata to Dracaena trifasciata.
